Good Doggie!

So this trip was: turn right on Middletown road and go for a while. We had a close call with a delivery truck (we decided we'd let him by; despite the size of Mark's van he was definately bigger than us), and then found the house number. That was just the beginning, though. As we proceeded down the "driveway", we kept popping over these little hilltops and going down these steep little sections of road. I don't think we did any skiing, but we were definately wondering how we were going to get back up. Mark said something like, "This van has four wheel drive on demand, but I have no idea what that means or how it works. I've got no buttons I can push or anything."

We made it in fine, and were greeted by the bundle of energy you see here. A knock on the door did not, however, yeild any response. We knocked some more, and speculated about where she could have gotten to (in the barn? Out for a walk?). There were two cars in the garage so we suspected she was around somewhere.

Finally, just as we had decided we'd call the principal, since he'd gotten her on the phone in the first place (we didn't have her number), there was motion inside. She asked us to wait a minute or two while she got decent, and came back moments later laughing at herself and saying all she did was put on a clean bathrobe.

Turns out she had not had her contacts in, and all she could see was four blurry figures that looked like they were probably Jehovas Witnesses or something. So she called her husband quick, and I guess got reassured. If she'd had her contacts in she would have recognized Bob and all would have been well.
